Dragon Vein (Japanese: 竜脈, lit. dragon's vein) is a special ability possessed by the royal families of both Nohr, Hoshido and the royalty of the Invisible Kingdom.
The ability itself is claimed by both royal families to be inherited from a dragon ancestor.[1] Dragon Vein allows its user to alter the terrain around them, for instance, forming a bridge out of stone where there was nothing before, or draining water to form a path through a river.
In gameplay, this is shown by a glowing orb on a tile in the map. A unit with Dragon Vein should move to the tile with this orb and select the "Dragon Vein" option, and the terrain will change based on context.
Dragon Vein is also used in the My Castle feature. Dragon Vein points are required to build and upgrade facilities. One point is gained for completed battles, be they main story chapters, paralogues, skirmishes, or Streetpass battles.
Characters that possess Dragon Vein
It should be noted that along with the below listed characters, the children of a character with dragon vein also inherit dragon vein. For example: if Camilla, a bearer of dragon vein, marries Arthur the resulting child, Lutz, will inherit dragon vein. This enables any child character in the game to inherit the ability at the choice of the player.
Also, the DLC item First Dragon Blood allows any unit to 'inherit' dragon vein as well, regardless of their heritage.
Characters that always posses dragon vein are:
