Belf and Kris

First conversation

(If Kris is male)
Kris: Sir Belf... I know I'm being rude, but there's something I'd like to ask you.
(If Kris is female)
Kris: Sir Belf... Sorry for the suddenness, but there's something I'd like to ask you.

Belf: I don't mind. What can I help you with?
Kris: Are you well-versed in etiquette?
Belf: Etiquette? Well, I have ordinary knowledge of it, but... Why do you ask?
Kris: It's embarrassing, but I'm bad with etiquette and decorum. I was just wondering if you could teach me...
Belf: Is that so? As far as I'm aware, you've been managing it flawlessly.
(If Kris is male)
Kris: No, not at all. I'm actually rather clumsy... For instance, castle manners... It quickly becomes apparent that I come from the countryside. Even recently, I got yelled at by Sir Jagen for running inside the castle...
(If Kris is female)
Kris: No, not at all. I'm actually rather clumsy... For instance, speech... I come from the countryside, so some sayings are difficult for me. Just lately, I bit my tongue trying to say "I see everyone is in good spirits"...

Belf: I see... In that case... I don't know how much help I'll be, but alright.

Second conversation

(If Kris is male)
Kris: Then, I'm counting on your assistance.
(If Kris is female)
Kris: Then, if you please.

Belf: Yes, alright. By the way, was there a reason you asked me about etiquette, and not anyone else?
Kris: Oh, that's just the image I had of you... To me, you look like a person of fine upbringing.
Belf: You're a honest man/one... Do I really look that way?
Kris: Yeah, judging by your demeanor and table manners. That's why I thought you knew a lot about etiquette.
Belf: I had no conscience of that, but I suppose others would see it that way.
Kris: When I saw you open doors and let females go ahead of you, I knew it for sure.
(If Kris is male)
Belf: Anybody can open a door, though. Do you want to give it a try?
Kris: Huh, me? But I'd do it poorly.
Belf: That's highly unbecoming of you. Weren't you the one who was willing to try anything?
Kris: Ngh... I'll give it a shot, but don't say I didn't warn you...
(If Kris is female)
Belf: Your praise is an honor. Then, shall we start our speech training?
Kris: Y-yes. I'm ready.
Belf: You'll bite your tongue again if you're this nervous. First, try talking normally.
Kris: A-alright. I'll try it out.

Third conversation

(If Kris is male)
Kris: It's difficult getting used to it.
Belf: Used to what?
Kris: Doors, opening doors... How to make use of the distance and timing... Opening a door is far harder than fighting...
(If Kris is female)
Kris: It really is difficult, after all.
Belf: What is?
Kris: Speech... Breathing, timing, choosing pertinent words... To think speaking could be such a chore...

Belf: You've improved greatly.
Kris: R-really? Hearing you say that makes me wonder if I've finally become polite, or if you no longer care...
Belf: Well, even if you don't master etiquette, I think everyone already knows your nature anyway.
Kris: Huh?
Belf: Etiquette is just form, after all. There are many well-born people who are overly self-centered and thus unpleasant.
Kris: That might be true...
Belf: ...Still, you can't say it's wholly irrelevant, either. Oh, that reminds me, Kris. I believe your way of getting up from a seated position is rather lacking in grace.
Kris: What, really? ...Could I ask for some guidance?
Belf: Of course, do I have a choice?

Belf and Sirius

First conversation

Belf: Sir Sirius! I wonder if you could spare a moment?
Sirius: Sir Belf... What business do you have with me?
Belf: Your mask... I'd like to see the face behind it.
Sirius: ...!
Belf: I understand that you have your reasons for hiding your indentity. But... Still, I'd like to ask this of you.
Sirius: ...And if I say no?
Belf: Then please tell me why. I was once a Sable Knight of Grust. I was one of the enemy then. Even so, Prince Marth has accepted me into his army. The prince looks beyond trivialties such as nationality... There should be no need to disguise yourself, I would think.
Sirius: Sir Belf, I believe you've mistaken me for another. Please leave me be.
Belf: General!
Sirius: You are mistaken. I am no general. I am Sirius... Merely Sirius.

Second conversation

Belf: That was a magnificent battle, Sir Sirius.
Sirius: Sir Belf... I recall asking you to leave me be.
Belf: It matters not if you wear a mask. I can tell from your fighting style. That's Grustian spear technique.
Sirius: It seems that our misunderstanding still stands. 'Tis a pity.
Belf: I understand. If you are so strongly intent on hiding yourself, I won't force you. But... At least tell me. Why? Why go so far to hide it?
Sirius: ......
Belf: General!
Sirius: For argument's sake, if I were in fact the Grustian general you claim I am, Sir Belf... What do you think would result from my revealing myself? A resistance would rise, and I would be their symbol. I would provide the impetus needed to free Grust. I hardly think now is the time for further Grustian blood to be spilt.
Belf: ...!
Sirius: Now, if you'll excuse me.
Belf: ......

Third conversation

Belf: Sir Sirius. I'd like to apologize for my rudeness. I... seem to have made a grave error.
Sirius: ...What matters is that you understand. Very well, I shall take my leave.
Belf: Please wait. Would you... mind keeping me company...? I want to speak with you. About the past, I mean.
Sirius: ......
Belf: The general who led the Grustian Sable Order, which I was a member of, was a wonderful person. He used to tell us this: A knight's spear is not for himself. It exists to protect the weak. I've come thus far holding his words to my heart. But... even though I chose this path, I wonder if I made the right choice... Sir Sirius, if the general were alive, do you think he'd have anything to say to me?
Sirius: Sir Belf... I am proud to have you as my subordinate. I want you to keep protecting the people, in my stead, for I've already departed from Archanea...
Belf: ...!
Sirius: I... I would imagine he would say something along those lines.
Belf: ...Thank you... so much!
