“ | I just want to protect the people of Zofia, that's all. | ” | — Alm, explaining his goal to Celica |
---|
Alm (Japanese: アルム, Alm) is a youth hailing from the village Ram in the southern peninsula of Valentia, the adoptive grandson of the famous retired knight Mycen and, for a time, the foster brother of Celica. When news reached Ram of General Dozer's coup against Zofia, Alm and three of his friends volunteered to join the Zofian liberation force to oppose the invasion by neighboring Rigel; from there, Alm became a leader of the revolution, successfully fighting his way into Rigel itself. Toward the war's end, he learned of his true identity: Albyne Alm Rudolf (Japanese: アルバイン・アルム・ルドルフ), the only son and heir of King Rudolf of Rigel, and the cornerstone of Rudolf's gambit to free the world of the corrupting influence of the gods Mila and Duma.

- In Gaiden, promotion gains consist of giving the character as many points as necessary - the "x" value shown in the table - to reach the promoted class's base stats. If any given stat at the time of promotion is higher than their promoted class's base stat, there will not be a bonus for that stat; however, if all stats are higher, then they will receive +1 to HP.
Fire Emblem Awakening
Role
In the Outrealms, Alm is one of the Einherjar belonging to Old Hubba. In the Champions of Yore series, Old Hubba summoned him to assist Chrom in defeating an army of female heroes led by Celica. His card was later stolen by Aversa and summoned to attack Chrom's and Celica's combined forces. Later, Aversa again conned Old Hubba into giving her the Einherjar again, forcing Chrom and the Shepherds to face off against Alm and the other legendary heroes once again. Alm reappears in Lost Bloodlines 2, as the leader of a combined force of Archanean and Valentian characters; completion of this chapter allows him to join the army as a playable unit. He again features as an enemy in Rogues & Redeemers 2 and 3, and as an NPC ally in Rogues & Redeemers 1..
Another version of Alm is playable as a bonus SpotPass character, as part of the Gaiden character set.
Alm also has a sword named for him: Alm's Blade. This blade, powerful but without special effect, is purchased using Renown points.

Skill set
Like all male bonus units in Awakening, Alm has access to all base class and advanced class skills available to standard male units.
In addition, the DLC version of Alm can also receive the following as a personal skill:
style="Template:RoundtlTemplate:Roundtr; border:none; background-color:#222222;" colspan="2" | Skill | |

Personality and character
Alm is headstrong and not a stranger to taking violent action.[1] In Awakening's DLC Alm's personality is emphasized, and he is clearly at odds with Celica's more compassionate and peaceful approach, though it is not to say he does not put thought into Celica's words.[2] Despite his aggressive nature, he expresses regret over being responsible for the death of his father, even being brought to tears.[3]
Ending
Alm
In ages to come, this is what was passed down:
'He who sundered the evil chains of the gods
And established this thousand-year reign
Must never be forgotten: Our Holy King, Alm the First!'
