It's a job, I suppose. It puts food on the table. [...] A lot can happen between meals. I keep it interesting.
— Malice, to Gregor

Malice (Japanese: マリス Maris) is a wandering mercenary of Archanea, working in partnership with her father Dice. In the early days of the War of Shadows, she and Dice were involved in a bandit raid on the Dolhr/Grust-occupied Pales, and after the war's conclusion were hired to join a rebellion in Talys, but were convinced by Ogma to stand down. Later, in the War of Heroes, they encountered and joined Marth's forces in Khadein.

BS Fire Emblem: Archanea War Chronicles

Malice and Dice had been hired by Vaam's bandit group in their raid on Pales, and the two were disappointed to find that Vaam's group were relentless in their desire to kill anyone in their way. They were approached by Rickard, who was leading another band in a separate raid on Pales, who convinced them to join his group for a down-payment of 1000 gold.
