Type

Lance

First game

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light

The Javelin (Japanese: 手槍 Hand Spear) is a ranged lance which debuted in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light and appears in every game in the Fire Emblem series. It is the most basic and common of the throwing lances, able to attack at both close and distant range. However, in exchange for this uncommon advantage among lances, it is more difficult to use than basic, close-range lances such as the Iron Lance, typically being slightly weaker, much less accurate and, in games prior to New Mystery of the Emblem, much heavier which makes it much harder for units to double-attack with it.

TCG Fire Emblem 0 (Cipher)

The Javelin is a common skill in TCG Fire Emblem 0 (Cipher), found on some lance-wielding cards. Characters who have cards with a Javelin include Caeda, Catria, Shanna, Nephenee, and Cordelia. The skill has the same effect on all of these cards: until the end of the player's turn, the unit's range is increased to 1-2.
