Florina first appears in Chapter 3, being accosted by bandits who tell her to apologize. They are planning to take her and less her, along with her rare pegasus, when Lyn arrives. She and Florina seem to recognize each other, and so they talk. Florina layn that she had flown there to find Lyn when she landed on the bandits, and although she had apologized many times, they still refuse to let her go. The bandits gather and prepare to fight with Lyn, and Florina helps out in the battle.
After the bandits are defeated, Florina explains that she came to find Lyn, to talk to her before going on a training journey. Sain suggests that she join their group for training, and Lyn agrees; happy to be with Lyn, Florina accepts.
She continues with Lyn even after they reach Castle Caelin and defeat Lord Lundgren, and decides to stay with Lyn.
Florina appears in Noble Lady of Caelin, Chapter 15 of Eliwood's story and Chapter 16 of Hector's story. At the start of the chapter, she is with Lyn, Sain, Kent, and Wil, trapped outside Castle Caelin. They are discussing how they can reach Eliwood help when Florina volunteers. She flies over when she spots Eliwood, who she calls out to; however, she and her pegasus fall to the ground, landing on Hector. Although embarrassed, Florina tells Eliwood where Lyn and the others are, and she fights with Eliwood's group of soldiers. The two groups are able to unite and reach the castle.
After they successfully secure the safety of Marquess Hausen, Florina joins Eliwood and Hector's army and fights with them for the rest of the game.
In The Dread Isle, Chapter 18 for Eliwood and Chapter 19 for Hector, Florina sees her sister Fiora on the island. Fiora says she had been sent to investigate the island with a whole squadron; she was left the only survivor after a large attack and blames herself. Florina tells her not to and starts to cry, which helps Fiora to recover from her sadness. Florina suggests that she join her army, and Fiora accepts. The two sisters, together, stay with the group.

Personality and character
Florina is a shy girl, often stuttering, while also being kind and considerate. She has quite a bit of determination, along with a desire to become more independent from others. In several of her support conversations, she starts to grow up, or is seen as already starting to do so. For example, she confidently volunteers to find Eliwood, saying she is no longer the "weak little Florina she used to be." She has a great fear of men, which diminishes in the year she stays in Caelin, but she still speaks with much more confidence and calmness with females. Still, she tends to be intimidated by those with more dominant personalities, such as Hector. According to Farina, at parties she does rather outrageous things, such as singing the "Pegasus Counting Song" up to one hundred sitting on top of a table full of food; Florina is very embarrassed at these outbursts.Still, most of the time she remains quiet and reserved.
Florina is from Ilia, born in Edessa, where pegasi gather at the spring of Pyrene. She had heard a story about the kind ice dragons of a nearby mountain, and once had waited a whole night to see the dragon; however, she only ended up catching a cold. At her first appearance, Florina is a pegasus knight undergoing rigorous training; she seems to have completed this training and truly become a pegasus knight sometime during the time of her stay with Lyn in Caelin.
Florina has two sisters, also pegasus knights: the oldest, serious Fiora, and the second oldest, money-loving Farina. Florina became a pegasus knight out of admiration for Fiora, and the two share an understanding, supportive relationship. On the other hand, Farina often teases Florina, although she does care for her. She tells the above tales of Florina at festivals, but only to check if the "old Florina" is still there, surprised to see that Florina has grown up so much. Florina and Lyn are very good friends; they met on the Sacae plains when Florina fell off her pegasus and was hanging down from a tree branch, crying and afraid of the flying bees. Since then the two have remained very good friends.
Florina, Pegasus Knight of Ilia
Florina has arranged to stay in Caelin. She spends her every waking hour in rigorous training, hoping to become invaluable to Lyn. Her fear of men has lessened, but... only slightly.
Florina, Pegasus Knight
After Lyn abdicated rule of Caelin, Florina returned to Ilia. She remained shy, but this shyness has made her strong within.
Hector and Fiora
Hector succeeded his brother as the marquess of Ostia, but the pain of his brother's death weighed heavily on him. His beloved Florina gave him comfort and helped him become an enlightened leader.
Lyn and Florina
When her grandfather died, Lyn asked that Caelin be taken under Ostian protection. She set out for Sacae with her friend Florina. Though Florina returned to Ilia, their friendship lasted forever.

- "Florina: Lady Lyndis! I'll go! I can fly above the forest. I can be in Laus faster than anyone else.
Lyn: Florina? You can't do this on your own! It's not possible!
Florina: Thanks to my time here, I'm no longer as timid around men as I used to be. And I've met Lord Eliwood before. I'm sure I can do this on my own.
Lyn: It will be terribly dangerous… You understand, don't you?
Florina: Yes. But… I promised myself I would become braver for you. I'm not the weak little Florina I used to be. I'll be fine. Trust me." - Lyn and Florina in Noble Lady of Caelin, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
- "Hector: Say, aren’t you one of Lyn’s...
Florina: Aaah! S-Sorry!! I beg your p-pardon!
Hector: What was that all about? Am I some kind of monster? Huh." - Florina and Hector's B support conversation, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
- "Farina: Yeah, but it’s not like Lyn, I mean... Lady Lyndis...cares... She was laughing, too! It’s not as bad as you make it out to be... ...Not as bad as when you started singing the Pegasus Counting Song all the way to one hundred at that one festival back when--
Florina: No! Stop! It’s so embarrassing!
Farina: I mean, it’s not like I included the part where you got up on that table full of food, sat yourself down cross-legged, and started belting out that song with a crooked grin on your face! Right?
Florina: Sob..." - Florina and Farina's A support conversation, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
- "Florina: So, Ninian, where in Ilia were you born? Because... I was born in Edessa. That’s where the Pegasi gather...at the spring of Pyrene." - Florina and Ninian's A support conversation, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
- "Florina: My sister first told me that story as a child to make me go to bed... Even now, every year, the people in that area make an offering to the mountain... When I was little, I so wanted to meet the ice dragon that I braved the cold and waited all night next to the place of offering... But I saw dawn the next morning, and the dragon never came... Then I caught a cold and my sister got very upset with me..." - Florina and Ninian's support conversation, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
- "Florina: That's not true! You're a splendid pegasus knight! I chose this path because I admired you so! Please…don't do this to yourself!" - Florina to Fiora, in The Dread Isle, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
- "Farina: Awww... There, there. Don’t cry...
Florina: Hey! You’re the one who made me cry in the first place!
Farina: Look, I’m sorry. Maybe I did go a little too far... But you know, I had to make sure. I had to find out if you were the same old Florina.
Farina: I mean, Florina, suddenly you’re just so powerful! You’re like a different person! I missed the old Florina. But I feel better now. I just had to check and see if she was still there." - Florina and Farina's A support conversation, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
- "Lyn: Remember, Florina? When we first met...
Florina: Oh, not that...
Lyn: I was out hunting when I saw a pegasus wandering about... When I went to see what was going on, I saw you hanging on to that tree branch...
Florina: W-Well, what was I supposed to do? All those bees came flying out at me! I was so frightened...
Lyn: I remember you were crying because you couldn't get down. I couldn't believe that you, a little girl, were a pegasus knight!" - Florina and Lyn's B support conversation, Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
