I prepared myself to live in crushing, colorless despair for the rest of my days. But when I look back, I can see there were some warm rays of hope...poking through.
—  Elincia to Ike about Crimea's defeat in Gallia.

Elincia (エリンシア, Erinshia), full name Elincia Ridell Crimea, is the queen of Crimea. She was unknown to the public until her family was murdered from a Daein invasion; only the other royal families knew of her existence. She is not playable for most of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, joining only a few chapters before the final chapter. She starts as Princess Crimea and can use staves and swords. In Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, she is first available in the prologue of Part 2.

Elincia is first found at the end of Chapter 4, unconscious by the side of the road. Ike and the other mercenaries take her back to their fort. When she regaines consciousness, she is reluctant at first to talk, although she does thank both Greil and Ike for rescuing her. [1]

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Two versions of Elincia are playable as bonus units in Awakening: a free one through SpotPass as part of the Path of Radiance character set, and a paid one from the DLC chapter package Smash Brethren 1.

Elincia is also present as an enemy in the first and third installments of the Champions of Yore DLC series, as well as the first and third installments of Smash Brethren; additionally, she appears as an ally in Smash Brethren 2.

Personality and character

Elincia is kind, gentle and thoughtful, though when she is first asked to speak to the people of Crimea, she is somewhat reluctant and shy. She did not grow up as many other princesses; she was brought up out of the limelight so she would not cause a blood feud in the Crimean royal family.

  1. Elincia: My lord Greil...You are the one who came to my aid, are you not? I don't know how to thank you...
Greil: Hold on. The one who found you and brought you here is my son, Ike. If you want to thank someone, thank him.
    Ike: No, please, that's not--
Elincia: Lord...Ike, was it? You have my gratitude.
